Artist Bio

Spontaneous, creative, enthusiastic and friendly, Debbie is a compulsive designer and artist. Her interests range from fashion and textile design through to fine art and jewellery design. She finds inspiration for her design and art work from ancient history, other cultures and the natural world, particularly around the Norfolk coast where she lives.

Debbie trained as a fashion and textile designer at Birmingham Institute of Art & Design at the University of Central England where sha gained her MA in 2001. Before that, she gained her BA in Fashion & Textiles at University College Northampton in 1999.

Debbie has worked in the retail fashion industry, and has spent time in the studios of established fashion designers and behind the scenes at London Fashion Week. Her work has been exhibited at Premier Womenswear in Birmingham and she has shown at London's Alternative Fashion Week and the Bath Fringe Festival.

She now works as a designer and artist in Norfolk where she is building a reputation for her creative fashion and textile work and more recently for her spontaneous and colourful paintings.
